Finished in factory Passion Red (R71J) with its original decal scheme, this example remains in outstanding, largely original condition and is one of the most desirable homologation specials of its era.
The Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition was created to celebrate Mitsubishi’s rally heritage and the championship success of Finnish rally legend Tommi Mäkinen. This particular example, with just 113,133 fully verified miles, has passed through five careful keepers, with a long-term owner from 2006. Supplied with two original keys, the full book pack, CD manuals, and a comprehensive service history file, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire a fully documented and original UK TME.
Completely stock aside from a Koyo aluminium radiator upgrade, this Evo has been meticulously maintained and recently recommissioned. The recommissioning included a full major service covering all fluids, cambelt, and AYC system, four new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, four new brake discs and pads, four new wheel bearings, and new driveshafts. The paintwork has been verified with a depth gauge, retaining the majority of its original finish with a few shallow marks only visible under close inspection, easily addressed by paint correction.
Internally, the cabin remains original and well-preserved, showing minimal wear across its period-correct trim and seating. Mechanically, the car is solid and fully functional, with all electronics and systems operating correctly. Minor age-related wear on the rear arch moulding brackets is present but removable or replaceable if desired. The original alloy wheels carry minor cosmetic curb marks and are fitted with the new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.
